Our mission is to educate global citizens and raise awareness of educators on global issues with the aim to contribute to build a peaceful and sustainable world. This is done by providing capacity building and space for youth to take action and create space for dialogue.
We believe in a world where young people see themselves and are seen by society as active global citizens whose human, civic and social rights are integrated and mainstreamed in the development policies of their home countries.
Diversity and inclusion as values are seen in all that Crossing Borders do. You will find diversity in the people working here: we are from all over the world; different backgrounds, different countries and different ages. Furthermore, in the way we facilitate learning and development of young people: Crossing Borders is working on frames of teaching, which are including everyone in the process of learning and developing on different terms.
Authenticity is the key to open the possibilities of dialogue. Crossing Borders doesn’t tell the story of a person – we create the space for one person’s voice to be heard and for a story to become a dialogue. We believe that the best story telling lies in authenticity and that dialogue build on authenticity broadens the way we think. Our aim is to educate especially the young generation to take action in a world of conflict.
