Remember, before start reading through this post, that you are an Intern, you are not supposed to know everything. We together will learn, test, apply, and learn again from what we have done. However, you need to have basic experience with Communication. So, if you are reading this, then part of you is going towards bridging and being the channel between Crossing Borders and the public.
In our communication department, we make sure that what we work on at Crossing Borders is well communicated to the public. We do that by carefully creating visuals and content that fits with Crossing Borders’ values and principles as well as what we are trying to achieve which is the overall objective and mission.
If you are eager to work with Social Media, websites, creating newsletters and engaging content, as well as maintain our relationship with our members, then this is the place for you.
We are looking for an intern that is motivated to help us reach out to the more local public in Denmark and then the world to spread our messages toward empowering young people to become the positive change they want to see in their societies.
As a Communication Assistant Intern you will:
1- Content Creation: Learn and help to create Social Media content from our projects and/or what we work on.
2- Social Media Management: As an intern, you will help to manage our social media by scheduling posts, analyzing the data that comes through our channels, responding to people, and so on.
3- Website: Do not worry if you don’t have any experience with websites, as an intern, you will learn how to manage basic stuff on our WordPress website and help the communication directer to upload and update it.
4- Communication with CB members: We use Mailchimp as a tool to collect our member’s emails and maintain our communication with them. You will learn how to use Mailchimp and help to create engaging contents to be sent to our Members.
5- Online campaign designs. We are working hard to create an online presence for our organisation. We would like you as an intern to help the communication directer brainstorm some ideas for online campaigns and help to design them.
It would be great if you have experience with:
1- Basic WordPress functionalities and Plugins.
2- Video and audio editing
3- Creating some basic visuals and infographics using Canva, Piktochart, Crello, or any other platform.
