Henriette Laursen is the Director of KVINFO, Denmark’s leading knowledge centre for gender, equality, and diversity. Before joining KVINFO, Henriette served as Secretary General of DUF – The Danish Youth Council, advocating for youth participation in civil society and democracy both in Denmark and internationally. Prior to that, she was the long-time Director of the AIDS Foundation, focusing on ensuring that those most vulnerable to the disease had a voice in shaping prevention and treatment efforts. Henriette holds a Master of Law and is trained as a lawyer with Kammeradvokaten. Additionally, she has completed several leadership programs and holds a Master of Public Governance.     Join us for an inspiring evening of storytelling with Michelle Pace, followed by a delightful community dinner by Send Flere Krydderier! Michelle Pace is a Professor in Global Studies at Roskilde University in Denmark. Her research and teaching focus on the intersections between European, Middle East, Migration, Democratization and Conflict Studies. Trained as a political scientist, she embraces an interdisciplinary approach, integrating insights from international relations, sociology, anthropology, ethnography, and political psychology. Beyond academia, Michelle collaborates with artists, finding inspiration in creative expression. Later this year (December 2025) Michelle’s book, Unwelcome to Denmark. The Paradigm Shift and Refugee Integration (with Sarah El Abd) will be published by Manchester University Press (Hardback: 9781526175311; PDF: 9781526175328; EPUB: 9781526175304). This book examines Denmark’s strict immigration policies and the impact of these on those they target as well as those who are tasked to support them. Her research for this monograph has been funded by the Carlsberg Foundation Monograph Fellowship. Additionally, Michelle has been collaborating with partners in the Gaza Strip, and University College London on a project exploring mental health and resilience in Gaza, supported by the UK’s Arts and Humanities Research Council. She is currently a member of the International Advisory Board for the UKRI ESRC project on “The Shared Homeland Paradigm: Reimagining Space, Rights and Partnership in Palestine-Israel”. I dansk politik bliver der talt meget om indvandrere, efterkommere og ungdommen, men det er sjældent de unge selv, der får lov til at sætte dagsordenen og debattere med politikere. Det vil vi lave om på. Arrangementerne her er udviklet i samarbejde med et stærkt hold af unge stemme-ambassadører som selv har etnisk minoritetsbaggrund. Vi vil sætte temaer som er relevante for dem på den politiske dagsorden. He is an Ethiopian native who grew up in a coffee-producing region and moved to Denmark where he studied at Copenhagen Business School (2014–2016). Josephine Lau Jessen is an environmental filmmaker and science communicator, and Emil Hougaard, a Danish photojournalist who has lived and worked in Kenya, will present their project We Are the Land, a short documentary exploring inequality in land ownership from both an artistic and political perspective. Focusing on Denmark and Kenya, the film takes an intersectional feminist and decolonial approach. With a commitment to social justice and inclusive storytelling, they shed light on pressing global inequalities through art and narrative.
