The “Food for Thought” concept originates from the belief that each of us possesses a unique life story worth sharing, one that can impart lessons and inspiration. This idea aligns with the sentiment: “I tell my story, therefore I am.” The phrase “Food for Thought” has been in use since the 1800s, referring to something deserving of profound contemplation.
At Crossing Borders, we firmly believe that every individual holds a distinctive story that deserves to be heard. This conviction led us to develop Food for Thought as a secure space where individuals can share their life stories, particularly those intertwined with contemporary issues. Following the guest speaker’s storytelling session, participants have the opportunity to network and enjoy a delectable vegetarian dinner, skillfully crafted by the international chefs of Send Flere Krydderier, a social entrepreneurship restaurant specializing in Middle Eastern cuisine.
Today, Food for Thought stands as one of Crossing Borders’ flagship initiatives, increasingly indispensable. It serves as a platform for individuals from diverse backgrounds to converge and bond over two universally appealing elements: stories and good food.
We also extend Food for Thought as a service to companies, fostering dialogue and team cohesion among colleagues on pressing topics such as Social Responsibility, Climate Change, Green Transition, Diversity, Inclusion, Global Health, Well-being, and Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG).
