Food for Thought with Julia Rakogianni

Step into an evening of powerful storytelling and reflection with Julia Rakogianni, followed by a delicious community dinner by Selva Brazilian Street Food! Julia Rakogianni is an early childhood educator dedicated to creating meani ngful learning spaces. With a background in education for environment and sustainability, she believes strongly in the power of stories to shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us. Is one day enough to change your life? For Julia, it was. On September 12th, 2012, during a study trip to Copenhagen, she visited an udflytter kindergarten. The Danish approach to learning in nature sparked something in her- a life-changing decision: move north, learn Danish, and work in an udflytter kindergarten. Leaving sunny Greece for cloudy Denmark, it required a strong “why”. She found it in her passion for sustainability in early childhood education. Today, Julia lives and works in Copenhagen, exploring how nature, learning, and sustainable practices can shape the way children grow and how communities thrive. In her talk, she shares her journey, her insights, and the questions that continue to guide her. Now she wonders: what will your life-changing decision be? End the evening by gathering around a delicious community dinner hosted by Selva Brazilian Street Food. Get your tickets HERE!
