Hassan Mao – Like many other inspiring young people ahead of me, Crossing Borders opened my eyes to a whole new world. While attending the global studies at Krogerup in Denmark, I transformed myself into an active global citizen. I have turned my energies into more productive actions and have ever since created a new platform for engaged youth across the Horn of Africa region and beyond.
I want similar opportunities for aspiring and active young people from Somalia and Kenya. I would love to be part of future initiatives to promote the role of young people in peacebuilding, crucial life skills and awareness-raising initiatives across the Horn of Africa region.
