Diana Ishaqat – Diana is a young professional who works in the nonprofit sector. What comes first in my mind is that my selection to Come together Climate Ambassador Program offered by Crossing Borders in August 2009 with a full scholarship was my first step in dealing with global climate crisis at international level. Right after the accomplishment of the program, knowing about Crossing Borders Global Studies was just a new discovery in my life.
I want more young people in my country and region to have access to the programs Crossing Borders organizes. In a region shattered by differences and torn by war, we are in a desperate need for change. I believe that providing more meaningful opportunities for youth to grow into stronger, more educated and empowered versions of their own selves is essential for them to become proactive leaders, who can develop creative solutions for pressing issues.
