Salma Fikry – Crossing Borders espouses those values that are becoming inherently scarce in our world divided by race, culture, religion, politics and wealth. My experience with CB taught me to overcome prejudices that society had instilled in me. It reinforced my belief that tolerance, respect and learning to coexist among people of diverse backgrounds are critical for peace within and amongst our countries.
By becoming a CB coordinator I hope to carry on the lessons learnt in CB’s global studies program in my everyday life and in my community. I hope to instill the values of CB in the work I do and contribute towards achieving our full potential at being not just human, but more importantly, at being humane.
