Tiago Alves Silva – It is with great honor that I accept Crossing Borders’s invitation to be a
National Coordinator for Crossing Borders. My time as a member of CB’s team and as an EVS participant was an important step towards my perception of what I, as an individual, can do to
make this world a better place, through dialogue and mutual understanding. It also empowered me to actively participate in helping other people (especially those whose voices remain mostly unheard) feel safe and prepare them to be proactive agents of change in their own communities.
I will bring my experience from both activism and working with youth, and I hope I’ll be able to employ that towards building a helpful channel of communication to those who are interested in using CB’s platform and network to be the difference they want to see in the world. In conclusion, I would like to thank you for considering me for this role and I will make the most of this opportunity you have given me.
