Morten Meldal is professor of chemistry at the University of Copenhagen, and a Nobel Prize Laureate for the development of click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry in 2022. In this webinar, Morten will talk about his life and his career path. He will also discuss how diversity is vital for science and innovation, about access and opportunity privilege and how these must be overcome so that there can be a future for us all. Ahrong is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Culture and Learning at Aalborg University, where she also obtained her PhD in February 2022. Ahrong's research lies within the interdisciplinary field of critical race studies and critical childhood studies. She is particularly interested in children's racialized lived experiences and how intersections of race and age sustain and inform ideas of innocence, justice, and feelings of protection for all, but especially non-white children and youth.
